Another Houghton, Mifflin and Company edition with no year given for it. I have the stunning 1894 Elihu Vedder edition and this definitely is a far cry away from that one. This is plain and simple. Its cover is super basic. Just green with some embellishment.
As for the interior, this edition always has the poetry on the right side. As you can see in the pictures below, the left side is completely blank. There are no accompanying illustrations. I am not sure the reasons for this…maybe it was related to print bleed? Stylistic choice? No idea.
Regardless, this isn’t a memorable or exciting copy by any means besides that quirk.
