This 1985 Excalibur Books (a trademark of Simon & Schuster, Inc.) has illustrations (both black and white and color) from René Bull that take up full pages and decorate normal quatrain pages. It looks simple, but it is quite pretty on the inside.
It was printed in the German Democratic Republic…which I learned was another name for East Germany. It is cool owning a book printed in a nation that doesn’t exist anymore!
Love the art decorating the pages, both the black and white and the color ones!
The illustrations are quite nice. I like the Angels & Grim Reapers featured at various points.
